Welcome to Hungary, Welcome to SheShe House!

Well, I have finally arrived in Hungary on Monday after several months of support raising and preparation. It feels great to be here and know that I am where the Lord has called me. I thought that I would allow you to experience a little bit of my Hungarian experience by giving you a tour of my new home which is affectionately named 'SheShe House.'

This is SheShe House - Welcome:

Have a seat in our living room:

Hang out in my bedroom:
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing a little bit of SheShe house. Later I will post some pictures of Diosd which is the village I am living in.

In the newspaper

Today an article featuring myself was in the Welland Tribune. Thank you to the Tribune for allowing me to have the privilege of being in the newspaper.
The only problem I have with the article is its initial focus is about how "salary is coming out of your own pocket" and that I am one of "several self-paid missionaries" at the school. Yes, I may have to contribute some of my own living expenses, but I think that the emphasize could have been better put on the fact that I am being supported by donations. I guess I could have done a better job in the interview saying this. I guess this is the way the world sees what we are doing as missionaries.
The one thing I am learning for all of this is that I should be more giving myself. I am are sure that when I return to NA from this missionary adventure that I will be much more willing to help others.
Overall though, the report will be good for the community to see what I am doing and how I am following God's call.

Welcome to the grand adventure

This summer I am going to be embarking on one of the most exciting adventures of my life. I am going to Hungary to work in the library at International Christian School of Budapest. I am going to keep in touch using this blog, but before I can go to Hungary I am required to raise my own salary. Currently, I am in the process of raising the funds that I need. I am doing this through the Christian Reformed World Missions.

By going to Hungary I will be providing the school which much needed help in the library. Keep reading my posts as I have time to write to so that you too can join in this adventure.
